I recently took a little trip over to the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden and figured, since I’m here anyway, why not snap a few shots to share with the readers?
Unfortunately, my photography skills are amateur at best, and that, in combination with some very hazy weather, yielded results which were, lets just say… not so great.
I seriously debated whether or not to even post these photos here, but after editing the haze out like crazy, it seemed there were a few pictures which were at least minimally acceptable looking (though less than 10 out of 100+ haha). So, even though these are certainly not the best of photos and do the place no justice, here they are, the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden in all its hazy glory :
The Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden is located at 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, California. The arboretum is a 127 acre botanical garden that features plant species from throughout the world, including many rare & endangered varieties. Admission to the arboretum is $8 for adults, $3 for children up to 12 years, and free for children under 5. Free admission is offered on the third Tuesday of each month.
I’d really like to post more photos of interesting places/sights around Southern California, so if anyone is interested in these types of features, feel free to let me know. I promise that pictures in the future will not be as cringe-worthy as these! Speaking of which, any photographers out there who can give me some tips on shooting scenery in overcast conditions? >_<
